My tips for picking a winter hand cream

Winter and hoarfrost are coming soon so it is high time to provide a reliable defense for your hands during winter! Today I will give you some tips for choosing a perfect hand cream for winter.

First of all, you have to remember that for winter you should use nourishing skincare products not only to prodect your hands but also face. Remember that cold temperatures slows down the production of sebum and this means that our skin is not oily and dehydrated enough and simply dries out. That's why we should use special skincare products which contain substances with nourishing properties, such as for example beeswax, Shea butter or glycerin which retains moisture.
Unfortunately, I personally suffer with so-called "winter hands" which during winter become extremely dry, chapped and itchy... So if you share the same problem as me or you just have such a dry skin, I can recommend you reliable (tested by myself) my top 3 winter hand creams ranked in order.

#3 Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, the most known cream in the world and award-winning skin protectant, also used as a secret by many makeup artists all over the world for keeping legs, lips and eyelids shiny and cuticles perfectly manicured. The manufacturers claim that the cream protects skin from drying and also helps relieve roughness, redness, chapped and cracked skin for up to eight hours. For me its only one disadvantage is price... as you have to spend a small fortune for a tiny tub of cream. Apart from this, this cream is like a lifesaver in winter when some parts of our body, like hands or lips are extremely dry and cracked.

#2 Canoderm 5% ureum krem
Canoderm 5% ureum krem is available in the pharmacy in Norway (Check if you can get it in your country).  The cream is an emollient which contains 5 % urea, what contributes to normalization of dry skin. It is said on the label that the cream is used to moisturise dry skin of different origin. For me, the cream perfectly moisturise my dry skin, it's really smooth and all cracks dissapear after few uses. However, this cream again is quite expensive (it's profitable to buy the bigger tub 500g) and unfortunately leaves sticky hands. That's why I would highly recommend it when you stay at home or use for night.

#1 Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, you should definately choose this cream if you want a great value for a resonable price. I can confirm that the cream does exactly what it says on the label, it means that your hands are really smooth and soft after one use. This cream contains glycerin and gives really intensive and effective result for dry and chapped hands.

I use all those creams in winter and can recommend all of them as well. Just pick the one that's right for you :)
